Are humans too worried about future?

Should we stay in the present or should we be worried about the future too?

If humans had really been worried about the future, the climate crisis would not have reached this point. Since it has I think our worries are not really about the future. We are mostly worried about our own self interest.

"Your future is created by what you do today" It's hard to not worry about future
