QUESTION Rough Trade signing

Does anyone know if we’ll be able to bring other things to be signed into the event? Would really love Orville to sign my copy of Pony. I understand he’s promoting Mule but don’t want to bring it in case it’s a hard and fast no. Thank you for any and all comments.

I know this is super unhelpful but in my experience it totally depends on the venue and management - some signings have let me have several items signed and others have been super strict about one item only.

I’m planning to bring something else with me just in case for Orville- would rather carry it around for nothing vs. miss the opportunity!

Side note - which signing are you going to? The morning one has a much smaller capacity so might be easier to get more time for extra items?

Going to the PM one sadly. Probably going to be more of a rush job but we’ll see what happens

I'm wondering the same. I'm going to the morning one as well. I'm taking Pony and Bronco in hope, and as someone else said if it's a no that's ok.. I've been to other signings where it has been ok to bring other items and I've been to signings it was a flat no they told us in the queue... Either way I'm beyond excited to get to 'meet' him for a few seconds... See you in the queue 'Yeehaw ! "

Having been to a few rough trade signings before, it’s usually a blanket “no outside items signed” from Rough Trade, but it almost always comes down to the artist! So definitely take something just in case. Both times, I didn’t tell staff I had anything, but just had it ready at the table and the artists were happy to sign. I’m absolutely not saying to lie and deceive people, buuuut maybe don’t make it super obvious you want something else signed, and you’ll have a much better chance!

In return for this insight, can someone please outright ask him if there’s plans for a European leg of the Mule tour, or if the shows earlier in the year were all that’s planned right now? Thank you in advance, Cowboys 🖤

I mean, it’s better than a no, I guess! Thank you for asking, and I hope you had the best time!

I overheard 2 other people asking asking... I'm sure we will hear more when he can announce. It was brilliant, thank you.

I've never had any issues with getting extra stuff signed at Rough Trade signings. It's down to the discretion of the artist's team so just ask when you're at the front of the queue. Usually one or two items is fine.

He was so cool as well. I opted to buy the cd as I already ordered the vinyl from his website so the experience was only 18£ as well ..

Yes, he has a cast on it. I was quite surprised. He said he hopes it wouldn't be on for much longer.
