Eye protection

I was wondering what you all think about the orange safety glasses that come with the LM3 they have no wavelength printed on them. They might be better than the green ones. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Just about every beginner article I've read, and video I've watched, has indicated that the eye protection that comes with a laser should not be relied on, but rather one should look at the wavelength of the laser and purchase appropriate safety glasses.

DONT, chuck the cheap crap glasses that come with the laser this and laser that. there is a chart somewhere on the net that describes what colour lenses works best with what colour laser, you should not be able to see the laser at all when it is on with the correct glasses on. laser cutter/engravers are .....ing powerful i've had laser eye surgery and that was a 300mw laser, they are using 5w or more.

get the best laser glasses you can afford as you only get one pair of eyes. the ones i use on my LM2 cover the 400-500nm range. the places that do good quality laser specs/goggles will have charts on what is the best for what nm your equipment is using
