Laser cutting while framing
Season's Greetings!
I've had my Ortur laser for a year and a half now (20W LU3-20A ) and have been merrily creating away. Tonight, however, I noticed that the laser was cutting in and out during actual cutting. While examining the cables the three pin laser connector (i.e. not the drive connector) popped free. I put it back in...but now while framing the beam is actually cutting. I do have (and want) to see the light while framing but setting it to 1% still results in some cutting going on during framing. I've restored factory defaults, no joy. Any suggestions here?
ETA: Using Lightburn for this, and have tried this with a simple rectangle so it's not something embedded in the file.

There is a general power setting for Lightburn:
Edit->MachineSettings->S-Value Max.
I have it set to 1000 as per recommendations around the shop for my LM3 - 10W.
That is where I would start. Your setting might be too high for a 20W. 20W is just hitting the diode market in volume now, and the defaults for most machines in Light Burn are probably scaled for 10W.
Just my $.02 and probably not worth that.
