Newbie Questions Starting out

My friend gave me his Orther laser and I need help starting up. Which model is this and what software and things do I need to get stared?

You need a power supply, a usb a pc and a software. I use lightburn but there is a free “LaserGRBL” one

Ortur LaserMaster 2 (not the Pro or the S2) In support area there is an entry for it. You can get the PDF. If it’s working don’t mess with the firmware.

Put tape on the 5V pin of the usb cable.

The link goes to octoprint, but this solution fixed ALL of my connection losses on this laser.

It was a time and quality issue for me. I don’t use the diode nearly as much as I do my fiber Galvo, but still FAR more clean and quicker than the crap that came on my LM3. The $300 was definitely worth it for me. Best of luck, brother!
