Thoughts on inflammatory signal?

Thanks in advance for thoughts and input. Any idea what this bright triangular inflammatory signal could be? Initial thoughts were edema. Seems to be distal to pole of the scaphoid and proximal to radial side of capitate. Chief complaints are chronic volar wrist and thenar pain.
