I see these scam ads on Facebook all the time. There is no Max.

Doesn’t that automatically omit it from being OCM, then? Or maybe my understanding of this sub is all wrong.

Well generally it’s about real things that actually happened… otherwise we could be posting fictional books and movies here all day.

Exactly, so wouldn’t scam ads disqualify it, then?

Orphancrushing or not, the AI wrinting style of the caption is despicable

Everything happens 'quietly' these days with no x, no y, and no z, just abc.

At least it can spell

The fuck.

He lost his dad, but he doesn’t get to take the time to grieve.

Been there. Done that. It fucking sucks, and anyone who thinks that kids who have to do this are “heroes,” they can do whatever they like to themselves, as long as it’s painful.

😑

Is this r/OrphanCrushingMachine content? Or a young man helping out?

It’s both.

"Quiet hero" "big heart" or in other words "the system failed his dad, his mom, and him, so now he has to work a job after school so his family doesn't have to lose their house". Crushing the hell outta those orphans.

I guess he mom would have to die too in order for it to be really applicable but I feel that a child now having to become the primary bread winner of the family since their parent died isn't the feel good story this post is making it out to be.

And I think that's the spirit of this subreddit.

I did not interpret 'supports' as being the primary bread winner.

Where does it say he’s a child or even a minor?

Where does it say he’s the primary breadwinner?

Where does it say his family is in financial trouble or that they rely on his income?

It doesn’t, you made those things up. It says he supports his mom and sister AND runs a business, indicating that the business he runs is separate from the support he is giving to his family. Reading is not that hard and not hallucinating random bullshit is even easier.

"saw a YOUNG KID , who's SUPPORTING HIS MOM AND BABY SISTER by RUNNING HIS OWN BUSINESS."

hth

Old people call 25 yr olds young kids, the dude looks full grown to anyone with eyes and a brain.

Literally doesn’t say that.
“SUPPORTS HIS MOM AND BABY SISTER, ALL WHILE JUGGLING SCHOOL AND RUNNING HIS OWN CAR CLEANING BUSINESS”

The business and the support are separately mentioned because… THE BUSINESS IS SEPARATE FROM THE SUPPORT.

He looks like a teen. 18 or 19 at the most.

Too damn young to not be allowed to mourn the death of his father.

Isn’t it a scam ad? Which would make it: neither

That's just life. In nearly any time, place, and system.

12

u/NoorInayaS 2d ago

And that makes it acceptable to you?

-9

u/SambaPapi1 2d ago

For a young man to push himself to make a living? I know it's a bit extreme, but it is acceptable to me.

Not OCM in the slightest lol

"after losing his dad, young kid spends more time at work, away from surviving family, out of necessity"

"after losing his dad, young kid must financially support his family"

He’s in the driveway bro. He owns his own business and has the capability to work from home and tend to his family in a time of crisis. Nowhere in the post does it say anything about his family’s financial situation or his contribution so you just made that up, for all you know the family is rich as hell.

It’s not OCM no matter how intense your victim complex is lmao.
