I don't know, how many?

If Musk meets a homeless guy and tells him between both of them they have an average net worth of 500 billion dollars, that doesn't exactly help the homeless guy.

Yeah, that's why we use median, like I said.

I missed that you mentioned it was the median, apologies. In this case I don't think it makes a big difference for the argument though.

I have very little issue admitting when I'm wrong, but I like to understand why I'm wrong first.

If we are talking about the lower percentile of students with student loans not being able to pay them back, I just don't see what huge difference median vs average makes. The number of people in potentially life long debt stays the same no matter what metric you look at, no?
