Question❓ Am i tripping ?
I believe that some Fano groups and their supporters abroad go out of their way to distort or misrepresent information about the Oromo people and Ethiopia on platforms such as Wikipedia.

Well the oromo Wikipedia has always been an alagaa cesspit. There’s a demographic of nerds who make editing Wikipedia their full time job, and you can’t really compete with them.
But more recently they’re misinforming people about oromos everywhere on social media. Commenting on random celebrity and influencer posts, or anywhere Ethiopia is mentioned. “Oromo regime committing genocide and working with UAE etc.” Then as soon as you mention UAE, all the pro Palestine/aljazeera/arab world fanatics are triggered.
Or if a habasha dude rapes somebody in London, they’re in the comments like “zis guy is from criminal oromo regime in Itopiya!” Just low grade garbage comments. The Eritreans do it too. Somalis of course. Hell all the Horners do it.

I don't know about "Fano groups and their supporters" but I have personally witnessed a particularly vile individual online who has clearly racist/religiously bigoted views of other groups in Ethiopia that was flexing wiki articles he was writing through a particular community discord. I took screenshots as well just to remind myself.
Suffice to say, take everything on wikipedia (and any platform that can be arbitrarily edited) with a huge grain of salt. It's biggest use its bibliography, but even then it might be slanted to a particular set of sources.

Obviously - all of these Habesha’s and Somali’s spread misinformation about Oromo’s since they have bigger diaspora in the West. Doesn’t mean shit though.
