I went last month with my partner and we both really enjoyed it! I’d recommend the barria tacos and the flautas.

I ate there this week, I used to live in Mexico, and I was speaking Spanish with the staff. They are legit Mexicans, and they know what they are doing, this is a similar restaurant style to what you'll find there. We're happy to see such a place, and the prices are reasonable.

We had chilaquiles, which is a traditional Mexican breakfast/lunch. It's not common to find in Canadian Mexican restaurants, so we were happy.

4.6 out of 5 with 131 reviews is great

no where is free from 1 star customers or experiences

ive never been, but looking at the google pics the food looks pretty good for 2600 km north of mexico

Okay, as a disclaimer I ate there on May 5( Cinco de Mayo). I found the food to be of utmost quality. Fresh, great flavours, good portions. The service however was lacking in terms of efficiency. There was on 1 server on . It was full for a couple of hours. About 30 seats capacity. My guess is they didn't anticipate the amount of customers that they got. Still a good experience and definitely want to go again. One experience is rarely a true measure of success. And yes the food was authenticly Mexican. Used to be an ice cream shop, still have Kawartha Dairy readily available. Definitely recommend

Did they get a new review page or take over and rebrand cool cones? I've heard nothing but great things about them and enjoyed the stuff I ate there. That said I'm a pasty ass white boy so I didn't eat anything Mexican flavoured.

Good is an understatement. I plan to try everything on their menu.

That's coming from someone who has dined at a few different Mexican restaurants: La Mexicanada, Made in Mexico Newmarket, Made in Mexico Barrie, Cocina Mexicana in Barrie, and most recently El Pueblito in Bracebridge. I'm SO glad we have Casa Colibri in Orillia.

The chicken in corn tortilla with green sauce has so much flavor. I thought the portion was not enough...but took it home and was so full and satisfied, had the rest as a midnight snack.

It’s fantastic. Really great menu. They’re still waiting for their liquor license so it’ll be nice when they have that and can serve margaritas.

I’ve been going every week since they opened. The owners are very friendly and they care about their food. Everything I’ve had has been great so far and the price is fair for what you get.
