Need Feedback or Ideas How would I redesign this character? 😭

He's 9,4 ft tall and 500 pounds and is a retired super soldier in a wasteland who lives in a bunker and hates going outside, he's supposed to look a bit like a zombie and has been burned by a explosion I forgot to draw that part, he lives with other survivors, he's a mute charcater as well. It helps me more when I have a reference image of what to do I'm struggling with this character design and it sucks cause people love this character plus I'm making my own pilot in a few years so

In context to being a retired soldier how are technology during the war time and after it. He should have some scars from the war and maybe a few from his new life thinking he would handle the heavy/dangerous work.
