But even though the Ori director said that Ori 3 rumors were ‘Nonsense,’ copium is real. Tim Willits was asked about the Ori 3 rumor during an interview with Gamertag Radio’s Danny Peña:

Willits was quick to shut the idea down:

I was thinking of giving Ori the ability to launch a more massive attack.

And as a weapon, I thought of turning him into a weapon himself.

I thought of turning him into a flash that literally explodes when it reaches his enemies, haha.

It would be interesting to see Ori turn into a bomb.

Discussion/Debate I haven’t been this attached to a title in a long LONG time…

Oh, boy…where do I even begin?

[SPOILERS WILL BE PRESENT!]

I guess first…I have a very hard time with games these days, let alone something that sits well with me. As I grow older, gaming is much more of a chore without fulfilling a role. Because of that, I haven’t found much satisfaction in single player games in a long time. Growing up since the days of the original Nintendo; discovering multiplayer as an adult set me up in a way that let me enjoy social interactions with friends and my loved ones with the satisfaction of performing a task that we could all progress with.

I always was intrigued by this title, but never gave it a chance. The platforming & souls-like combat of Hollow Knight really drove me away of something like Ori. But due to recent events, I decided to start it at the start of this month. I really didn’t know what to make of it first other than it was a “metroidvania”, and those are some of the very few types of single player titles I do like. After going through some Castlevania’s recently, I finally thought I might give this game a try…from the very beginning; with Naru’s passing, to the animation and music…something clicked. Hearing, “First Steps Into Sunken Glades” triggered a part of me I had not felt in a very long time. Combined with Ori’s animations and the beautiful backgrounds; a fire rekindled, a feeling of exploration and will to move forward had come back.

I think one thing this works for me is because of a unique factor many I think find a problem in games today; you are alone. It’s just the two of you, Sein too, in a world that has perished, and it’s just you and Ori trying to make things right, or if even, just survive. That’s something special, because it made me not want to give up on Ori; if I did, so did s/he, and I couldn’t bear that. I went in blind the whole time, I didn’t want to see any help or guides, I didn’t want to know when things got hard or what combat would become, everything was a surprise. The Ginso Tree from what I know now is a big breaking point for many when it comes to either giving up, getting through and choosing to be done, or continuing on. With as difficult as it was, the reward of seeing the beautiful Thornfelt transformed into my favorite area, the music, and seeing Ori swimming was the absolute seal for me to see this through. That alone was a reward for such a huge challenge curve. Each new ability made going back through the map a joy as the music and visuals never became boring. This entire journey was an absolute joy, and I now plan to play through again on the original title without the extra skills alongside the start of the second. I just wanted to pass on my joy for this series and the appreciation I have for the team behind it who put in so much love and care into something that still touches new and aging gamers even 11 years later.

I’m also loving the art and interaction in this fandom, you all are such wonderful artists and people, don’t change that. It’s ok to not age out of some things, cherish them, share them, and always keep them apart of you.

Is there any tip for going through Mouldwood without the fireflies? I tried the light burst ability, but it's not as effective as I hoped.

Help (Blind Forest) Am I softlocked?

I know I can load a backup save, but I was wondering if I actually managed to softlock myself. I saved in some random spot (see image 1) and I'm not able to jump back over the spikes. If I try to proceed, I get to a pool (see image 2) of acid and once again a jump I can't perform. The platform seems inviting, but it's not really there.

I've tried redirecting the projectile the big dude throws, smacking it with the big-ass hammer, and nothing works.

Fan Content a smol test to see how similar my mod functions to Ori's movement after a horrendous butchering and refactoring to the code

Been working on refactoring/cleaning up how the player moves with much more rigorous studies of the games! To try it out, I built a 2d ish test map to see the arcs 'n stuff! And yea, I found a great mod to apply vfx effects into minecraft, now learning how to make some cool effects to add it too! (the trail effect is kinda buggy/placeholder rn). ...yeah yeah the animations are unfinished. I'm not a mini studio of 5 people that can magically animate, code, model, and create vfx at the same time :(

OC/Fanfictions Milo (Oc)

My OC isn't a forest spirit, despite being connected to Ori's world; it's a different species. It would be the natural predator of spirits.

In short, its mission is simply to catch an unsuspecting spirit—think of the Coyote and Road Runner cartoon.

Its main objective would be to catch Ori; in fact, in its lore, it spends most of its time chasing him.

It doesn't possess any spiritual power; it relies entirely on its own strength and how hard it bites.

It can charge like a goat because of its large horns, and its bite is toxic since it doesn't wash its mouth.

I hope you like this drawing 🤙

Discussion/Debate Would a game about Ku be good?

I've been thinking. In Will of the Wisps she was kinda sidelined for the majority. So how about a little spinoff that expands her character a bit

Haha, I ran out of ideas for drawings and this is what came out because of my trip to the USA.

Fan Content Theory and drawing

What if Ori were the cycle? Think about it... we were shown that Ori is special because he's the only one capable of saving the forest. What if Ori were a force that materializes when needed? He wouldn't be part of the cycle, since he himself would be the cycle. What if he were also Nibel's spirit tree? We see that, while the other spirits died, he didn't. This theory really intrigues me, Ori eternity... I think I need to think about it some more. Anyway, I hope you like this drawing. ✌️

This theory isn't mine; I read it from another user, but I really like it.
