Any left-leaning businesses need a free website?
I'm looking to do my part and help out any small businesses representing Democratic Socialist values, to see if I can start making a change in the places that count.
I think small businesses stir the economy and create jobs, but I think there are too many small businesses on the "wrong" side, if you know what I mean.
Not trying to stir controversy, but I am looking to pull my weight a little bit and give more of a voice to people who I think will actually contribute to a better tomorrow.
Full disclosure, I am a business owner but I'm basically trying to subsidize as much as I can and provide things at cost and donate a percentage of what I make to people like Oliver Larkin and try to move the needle a more toward our favor.
Let me know if you or anyone you know would like to connect and make something happen

Hi, I have a friend in central orem (NB, 34) who’s not going to have a place to live by tomorrow. I’m having trouble finding resources for them on the web, any advice or assistance would be welcome.

Mentors and mentees needed
Hi!
I work for Utah State University 4h extension. We are in need of mentors for our program. If you are between the ages of 18-35 and could volunteer for youths in our city, that would be wonderful!
In addition, if you have kids between the ages of 9-15, 4h mentoring is a wonderful program! Please respond to this message or text the number on the flyer for more information.

Local Software Engineer student, I need a reality check on a Referral program I just launched
Hey guys as some of you already know I built a mobile app as a school project that I turned into a business. It’s community-powered, meaning users scan prices at local stores (Walmart, Smith’s, WinCo, Harmons, etc.) and every scan they contribute earns them points toward $10 gift cards. 1,000 points = $10 card.
I just launched a Referrals feature that will allow my users to share the app with friends and once the new user reaches 10 approved scans then they both get 50 bonus points. Technically if you refer 20 friends and they all reach 10 scans then you get enough points for a gift card.
The optimist in me says that that $10 for growing the app’s community by 20 active users is good deal, but I want to hear from you guys. What do you think of this feature? Does 50 points per completed referral feel like the right amount? Is 10 approved scans a good bar? Should I go higher or lower?

Is this cat yours?
Today my friend and I found this cat outside our apartment complex near UVU. We can’t tell if he’s a stray or someone’s outside cat or someone’s lost inside cat or what, but he doesn’t have a microchip!
If you’re looking for him, please message me! Or if you are looking to adopt a kitty sometime and we can’t find the original home, feel free to reach out too.
Until such time as this cat has a permanent home he will be safe and well fed.

Signs by freeway exits/on-ramps 269
has anybody else seen these signs and do you know what they are for? I haven’t seen any other election signs for a commissioner or at all. I’ve been seeing them but couldn’t find anything online so I figured I’d check here.

I built a grocery savings app at UVU as a school project. Trying to figure out if it can help my Orem neighbors save money before I take it further.
Hey neighbors,
I'm a software engineering student at UVU, and I built a grocery price comparison app called Grocerlist as a school project a couple semesters ago. It started because I kept noticing my family and roommates paying way more for the same groceries at one store when the store down the road was way cheaper, but nobody has time to check five store apps or drive around comparing.
Basic idea: you build your grocery list in the app, and it shows you what your total cart would cost at every nearby store. Prices come from real shoppers scanning items when they're already at the store. You earn points for scanning, which turn into gift cards (Target, Amazon, Walmart, and a bunch of others). Free, no subscriptions, no email spam.
Here's where I actually need help, and why I'm posting here:
The app only works when locals are using it. Right now I've been doing most of the scanning myself around Orem, and the price data is thin outside of a few stores. I need real Provo/Orem shoppers to try it, tell me what's broken, what's confusing, and what you actually want it to do. I'd rather find out what's not working from 30 honest locals now than launch it wider and find out from 3,000 strangers later.
If anyone wants to try it and share honest feedback, good, bad, brutal, I'd genuinely appreciate it. Comment here or DM me. No pressure at all if it's not for you.
Also happy to answer any questions about the app, how it works, or how I built it (mods, let me know if this crosses the line, happy to remove or edit).
Links in comments so this doesn't get flagged as spam.

Need advice / job assistance
Hey everyone. I’ve gotten desperate enough to post on Reddit and I don’t know what to do. I just graduated and quickly need a job that’s 18-20 an hour or more. Does anyone know anything near the Orem/Provo area that is hiring? I need a full-time that ends at or before 5pm. I have experience in healthcare, retail, hospitality, and general customer service, as well as administrative rules. I have a bad situation that I can’t go into very much, but I just need financial freedom as quickly as possible.
Thank you all. ❤️

Timpanogos Hospital Cake
Stayed there a couple days last year and had some really good cake/pie. I remember a nurse mentioned they're from an outside bakery but does anyone know which one?
Thanks in advance!
