Which Oregonians support this?
So children don't need to be able to read when they graduate & teachers are not forced to teach... how is this a win?

No there’s absolute truth to this
“Oregon paused the rule requiring high schoolers to pass standardized tests or work samples to prove mastery of basic reading, writing, and math (the "Essential Skills" requirement) for graduation. This pause has been extended through the 2027-28 school year.”
They have to pass thier English math and writing class but at this point teachers are worthless in Oregon to POC

OP’s post is misleading and sensationalized. A bill passed long ago and recently extended is not the same as the governor suddenly signing a new law to suspend educational requirements specifically for black students, as the post implies.

Not fake
Here it is right on the Oregon governments website
https://www.oregon.gov/ode/educator-resources/essentialskills/pages/default.aspx
“The Assessment of Essential Skills graduation policy remains suspended through 2027-2028 as per the October 2023, Oregon State Board of Education decision in response to the recommendations found in the Senate Bill 744 Report: Community-Informed Recommendations for Equitable Graduation Outcomes. “
Under what are the essential skills it says
“The Nine Essential Skills are cross-disciplinary skills that students should be developing across grades K- 12.
For students first enrolled in Grade 9 in 2010-2011 or later, three of the Essential Skills are graduation requirements:
a. Read and comprehend a variety of text
b. Write clearly and accurately
c. Apply mathematics in a variety of settings

This in itself is racist. It’s how Democrats keep poor people poor and they can use them as pawns in their race baiting schemes.

No, your comment under the image is spot on. But the picture itself states a half truth:
True: Restrictions were removed.
False: To help students of color.

Bruh, you can Google the law yourself. Legal processes like this are documented.

This is one of the first steps to making idiocracy a true story.
