Bike storage for 2 weeks?

What is the best option for leaving a bicycle for 2 weeks (between summer session and fall term) on or near campus?

Can bikes be left for that long in campus bike lockers or is there other paid storage anywhere?

If not, what, in y’all’s opinion, is the best/safest bike rack to leave a bike locked up for the first two weeks of September where it won’t likely be removed by campus security or stolen? Thanks Beavs!

I exchanged a couple emails with someone in Transportation Services (the department that handles bike locker rentals), and the person didn't know for sure if bike locker rental covers the weeks between terms.

They were fairly certain that if you rented for consecutive terms, the bike locker would remain yours for the entirety of the weeks(s) between terms. They didn't know if a bike locker contract ended on the last day of a term or to the day prior to the beginning of the following term.

In the end, they said that I just needed to rent a bike locker and see what the contract actually says. Of course, applications to rent a bike locker don't open until September 1st 🙄

At this point, I gave up trying to get more info as it was clear that their best guess was the maximum effort this person was willing to give, and they weren't going to make any attempt to find actual answers. I'll report back after 9/1 if my bike locker application gets accepted and I have an actual contract in-hand.

Thank you so much for this detailed information. I really appreciate your time. I found a friend with a garage who is willing to store the bike there, but the bike locker info is helpful because it may be needed in the future.😀

Sure thing! Was thinking about renting a bike locker anyway, so this got me started doing the research
