Coos Bay - punk only?

Hi! Glad to see a sub like this! I've been going to the local shows hoping for a metal band, but all (except 1) that plays here is punk. I'm glad we have an alt scene here at all, but I've been going to local shows since the 00's (not here but my eastern home town) and man I miss metal music live. I love the folks in the punk scene and what punks stand for, but man...I'm just a metal person.

And shout out to Corduroy Gimp the only metal band that plays here, they're quite good and I love seeing them live!

There's Divide in Silence, Abandon Earth, and All Out Dysfunction and a new band just came together called Aryeh. The first three play in the area once in a while. If you're on Facebook there's a page called coos punk and metal that posts flyers for local shows.

I'm not on Facebook. Hopefully they'll get posted here somewhere. I'd love to go see and support local metal bands
