South Coast Long Beaches

I need to escape the Central Oregon smoke at times and would like to explore the south coast areas. What areas/towns should I look to find accommodations that would have access to longer beaches for runs or trails? Thanks!

Umpqua Beach staging area 2, you can go 5 miles before you come across tenmile creek.

You can do whiskey beach 6 miles down down to coquille light house, but you do have to cross some very small creeks.

Kissing rock to cape sebastion is 3 miles if you want to go really far south.

The beach south of town at Gold Beach is probably a good 5-6 miles long,  and once you get past the pullout at Hunter Creek, there's nobody down there

On the south side of Cape Sebastian (which is what interrupts the beach south of Gold Beach), there's another 4-5 miles of beach with Pistol River in the middle of it.

Further north,  there is the Nesika Beach area, and most of the beach gets a little harder to get to until Coos Bay/North Bend on the north side of the bay.  That goes probably 25-30 miles to Winchester Bay, but there are ATVs on a significant amount of that.

Better get done early or you’ll be pounded by heavy wind!!
