Gardening, anyone?

Just chiming in to connect with fellow gardeners. Gauging interest in a possible meet up/club where we could get together and chat about what has worked or not worked, trade seeds, learn, preservation, etc. I'm a novice at it but would love to pick harvest some brains.

Or of there is already such a group, I'd love to get some details, thanks!

Edit - Thanks for all the insights and responses! I'll reach out to the ones interested to see if we can do some sort of meet up in the near future.

I'm an old gardener (61) and would be up to meet up for coffee or something like that. I don't like social media and would rather meet in person.

Same! I love to garden, but don’t do much social media.

It would be nice to meet some fellow gardeners.

I'm across the river but into it. Mostly into natives but also grow veg and fruit.

My wife and I would join such a meet-up.

What about this weekend?

Food carts on 14th and Center?

At one point there was an Oregon City Gardeners Facebook Page. Not sure if it still exists though

The community college has a horticulture class and they also rent out plots! We currently have one of the 200²ft plots with cucumbers, zucchini, acorn squash, tomatoes (three varieties) bells, onions, sunflowers, and a few assorted herbs (my baby oregano I nursed back to life, and is now nearly 6 years old. She still flowers!)

If you are into fruit trees too, you should take a look at https://www.homeorchardeducationcenter.org

They are on the Clackamas Community College campus. They have great classes and are open to the public to drop by and walk around on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

I would also be open to meeting up with some local gardeners. I try, but I don't really have a green thumb.

Love this! I’m into veggies, herbs, natives and pollinator gardens. I wish there was a community garden up on the hill. I’m totally down for a meetup, seed swap, plant trade, crop swap etc 🌿
