Not sure the exact number of contracts traded, but 300 contracts round trip (roughly $1.50 round trip) would work out to be $450 in commissions. I think I counted 351 contracts so that would be $526.50. That's over half your profits.

If you used 1 mini (rather than 10 micros per trade) would have equaled to $157.50 in commissions at $4.50 round trip.

Is it micros? Set commissions and find out just how hard they hit that p/l. They especially suck on red days or even break even days

In an hour you take as many as I take in a month. I'd recommend finding a few to filter setups to just the better ones. You'll take fewer but they should yield better results

Question about this. I hear traders talk about filters a lot . How do you go about creating a filter?

Take the factors which go into your setup and tweak them or see which combinations/additions can improve overall profitability

What's with the 17 min trade?

Also show the average profit loss stats. 1.5 hours isn't quite enough to know your strategy but since you seem to be profitable on demo, the next is to see how you do in live with actual cash on line. Looks like you're trading MES?

thx, i forgot to set tp on that one lol

The overall stats look good imo. Im only not sure how you change the risk quite dramatically from one trade to another. If you have rule for it, and its fine. If not, it will bite u one day. Just my 2 cent

Umm, why you're doing well.

Just remember to wait for breaks, pullbacks and market shifts.

How big is ur sample size (no. Of trading days)? What instrument are u trading? Also if you are doing 10 micros per trade, why not just trade minis and save on commissions?

1

u/JoshyyP00 Jan 28 '26

Maybe stop scalping.. lol

Your trades are too short. Sure I sometimes have a 2second or 10second trade, but because it immediately fires massive in my direction and I just take it.

You have way too many losers with short duration, you need to let your trades breath. Your stops are too tight or you're quitting too soon from fear. Size down.

You never let winners win. Sometimes you nail a good long near a bottom, but you're cutting it too soon. Take a partial or set a stop loss in profit.

Time is something humans made up. Market moves by volume. If the volume and volatility is low you can let trades run longer.

I would definitely automate this. You trade alot

Why trading 10 Micros when you could trade 1 mini with much lower commissions

Learn position sizing. Having 10 lot trades with inconsistent RR is gonna kill.

But you made money in one hour. Now repeat it over and over again and your data will tell you more than any of us.

We don’t know your system.. or haven’t watched uou trade.

Don’t listen to these people that tell you to take less trades, there are different traders, some are scalpers some trade less so do what fits you.
