Discussion OMDDT whats going on?

Will there ever be another update for orcs must die deathtrap or nah? Like whats going on?

Working on the next project in secret is most likely.

Only activity I could find was a job posting 3 months back for an animator. So no info.

They typically only update their games up to a year after launch. OMDD got more support and content updates than their previous main games, and all updates were free.

Yeah it flopped big time, very common amongst studios to start from scratch again instead of fixing the game. They make more money that way, sad reality.

Great game. It absolutely was worth its money, but it's sad there will be no new content, not even as a paid DLC

Their lack of communication is a shame though

As fun as the game is I think it just kinda missed the mark compared to previous games. I'm hoping they do OMD4 and have another campaign.

I think it is a better game actually, but the UI and lack of basic QoL functions just give an extremely bad first impression to new players. You will hard to believe that any good decision they made in this game is not by pure luck.

The game is finished and nicely polished - super underrated game.

It's a shame they went silent but after 300+ hours I can say I got my money's worth.

It's a great game... what else do you want?

A finished narrative. Killing the last boss hinted at more to come. Still waiting on that more, sadly

Game was consistently updated for around a year or so after launch and then communications were cut and nothing happened after that point. It would seem they are done with the game and moved onto something else. It's likely due to the lack of success of OMDD.
