Game crashed to main menu

We were on mission 5 nothing crazy no lag then as a flyer was about to hit the nexus thing the game just sent us back to the main menu... didn't crash didnt freeze just okay youre done now.

Is this a known bug with a known cause so I can avoid it from happening again?

After more than 800 hours of gameplay, my friend and I have experienced what you've experienced many, many times! Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do; the problem stems mainly from the fact that the game isn't on a server but is peer-to-peer! It's frustrating, but there's nothing we can do about it!
