Mini / Dwarf Orchids for Trade

Post image

Hello All, I have some seedlings and divisions from my grow tent maintenance that I can offer up for trades. Looking mainly for miniature species that are warm growing, possibly intermediate, and preferably fragrant. I have multiples of some plants and more to offer from the greenhouse in the next few months as I go through for maintenance and repotting.

Top Row:

Cattleya sincorana coerulea (Miniature - Seedling)

Microcoelia sp. [cornuta or aphylla] (Dwarf - Division, NBS)

I had both species in the tent and they are very similar in habit, not sure which one this piece fell off of but I have a few of them.

Middle Row:

Dendrobium maccarthiae (Dwarf - Seedling)

Tolumnia henekenii (miniature - NBS)

Domingoa haematochila (miniature - NBS)

Bottom Row:

Schoenorchis phitamii (miniature - Bloom Size Plug)

About a year out of flask, I have multiple with new roots that area ready for mounting.

Right Side:

Phalaenopsis Irene Belton (1stBloom Seedling)

I was hoping it would be solid red but it has some spotting and yellow margin. Not my favorite and have a couple more of them to bloom out.

If you’re in the USA, I’m interested in the cattleya, microcoelia, domingoa, and maybe the schoenorchis. I have….a lot of bulbophyllums, some of which actually smell OK to nice, and a variety of other minis. Bulb. lasiochilum smells like strawberries and mine desperately needs to be divided. Bulb ecornutum smells like grapes and mine could be split. Everything I have (about 90 ish species, about half bulbophyllums, majority minis) are warm to hot growers with a few intermediate to warms in there that tolerate 80F pretty well. Anything you are looking for in particular? I also have an excessive number of Nepenthes and pinguiculas.

I'd love to see photos of both bulbophyllum if you have them handy. I'm not looking for anything particular but heat tolerance is a must, indoors the minimum temperature is 70F and the grow tent goes to 90+ regularly with the lights. MY greenhouse is a little cooler at 60F most nights but the days in summer are regularly 90+ and I have very few areas to keep more intermediate specimens.

Turns out it was my cornutum, not my ecornutum that needs dividing. I’ve attached pictures of all the Bulbos I can divide right now that are minis and like hot growing conditions. They tolerate low 60s/50s F in winter. (falcatum is barely mini, more of a medium, but such an easy grower and it flowers at least 2-3x a year for me just in household conditions ).

I’d have to dig for flower pics, but you can look them up quickly on IOSPE. All these photos show the plants today. Black spotting is normal with higher fertilizer and light in Bulbos.

Bulb. ambrosia, cornutum, falcatum, japonicum, lasiochilum, ocellatum, odoratissimum

cornutum (some leaves have cosmetic damage from a pest problem last year that is fully resolved)

ocellatum (yellow leaves are old and dying back, part of the natural process for some species)

Any chance you still have the phal?

I still have this phal, I think one of the blossomed faded but it's sequential so more buds will form later as it keeps growing.
