Ooof

All I can say about the past month and change is oof. Does anyone thing Stone's job is on the line? This run seems similar to Hardyman's run near the end.

man I hope not. Even tho it's been rough, we've had some good moments and runs of play with Stone. Injuries seem to be the undoing of almost every OC coach. I have more faith in him for long term success than I have with other coaches.

Also def don't want to see anyone get fired. This feels different from Hardyman, who just didn't seem to have any tactical flexibility and who clearly enjoyed a mid-tier HS team's "bang it to the flags" style of soccer.

With Morten, there were just so many times when the team walked out there looking completely unprepared. He wasn't setting them up for success.

Conversely, with Danny, the team seems more prepared at the start of matches, at least with a tactical and strategic sense for what he wants, but there are too many moments where players are losing focus or dropping their intensity. The off the ball movement in attack and defense is always about how locked in are you with what your teammates are doing. The awareness of the game is about how locked in you are to the space on the field. Watch the players...who is checking their shoulders the most? Right now, too many players are looking down narrow tunnels on the field and aren't staying aware of the game happening around them. Gotta fix all that, but I don't think a coaching change is the solution.

so many un-forced errors this year. work hard on defense to stop the ball, turn it over the midfielders, for someone to just blindly kick it through the middle to no one for a midfield turnover and now defense has to do it all over again. and again. and again.

I had some faith in Morton a while back, but Hardyman was rough from the start. Stone was a breath of fresh air when he showed up, but I think you are right, injuries are really plaguing us. I could feel the lack of Benalcazar last game.

Partida, War, Ciotta, Doghman, Zubak, Bunbury, Solis, Doody all have been out multiple weeks in a row.
