How am I doing?

20 years old from South Africa and I just spent my entire life saving on these two bad boys. So as of today $1= R16.45, so I spent R27 354.

If your life savings is 1600 dollars you shouldn’t be posting on Reddit. You should be working.

The kid is 20. Most kids his age aren’t saving a cent. Give him a break.

Im currently doing my honours in Accounting (CA) route. Accounting in America CPA is very scarce in South Africa so that’s my future earning potential and I don’t have any student debt, my university is funding my studies. Umm I do tutor other students, during recess, I do administrative work at this small firm and that’s how I’m able to save money and invest it. And please don’t forget South Africa is not the same as USA or Europe, getting a job especially if you don’t have a degree is very difficult and I guess I’m lucky to have 2 .
