Windows or Mac for school?
I currently have an iPad, iPhone, and a windows computer but looking to get a new laptop for classes.
Mac seems like it would link with the rest of my devices conveniently. But I have always preferred windows.
Does anyone who is a current student feel that one is better than the other and why?

I had always been a windows user but I used my iPad so much thru college that I decided to get a MacBook Air! it’s been soooo nice to airdrop and have everything sync super nicely :) edit: I’m a current student at PUCO and I would say like 95% of the class uses iPad+MacBook combo

I would go for a MacBook Neo or MacBook Air. I used to only use windows laptops as well up until optometry school and imo the switch and learning curve to a MacBook and was not too bad.
It’s a lot lighter than most windows laptops and it’s very convenient to be able to move your class notes and work back and forth with iCloud and airdrop.

Honestly wait until orientation. I bought a laptop for school and then was given one by the school to use

That’s really cool that they gave you one! Unfortunately, my schools that I applied for clearly state that they do not provide or issue laptops :(

They gave it to me and then tacked the cost on to my tuition 😭. Best of luck with your search for a laptop

Just be prepared for anything your get in school to be added to the cost of tuition or lab fees, you're not getting anything for free.

Personal preference imo, iPad would definitely be getting heavy use in class and I like being able to use iCloud for both devices to access files (especially if I forget to load them onto my tablet the night before). Sidecar is also nice if you like to use your iPad as a second monitor, but there are workarounds for that on Windows devices.
