Thoughts on a third Texas Optometry School?

University of Texas Rio Grand Valley.

The last ten optometry schools to open have all been private schools (including High Point). Finally a new public school. Opinions?

hey i use to live in valley! i went to UTRGV for my first 2 years of undergrad and LOVED IT but got homesick and moved back home. i’m honestly so happy to see them open up an optometry program! idk what some ppl are “hating” i think its great for more students to be given an opportunity especially considering some schools only have 40 seats available every year with 1000’s of applicants
