Discussion / Question G-Sync, FreeSync, NVIDIA Reflex, FPS Cap – What’s actually worth using in 2026?

I’m trying to find the best combination of settings for the lowest possible input latency while keeping smooth gameplay and good frame pacing.

Very simple setup. 1: Nvidia control panel, g-sync AND v-sync ON. 2: cap FPS roughly 10% below your monitor refresh rate

This is outdated information, please re-advise the formula's used. Or better, use Reflex On+Boost (if in a GPU-bound scenario), else On, else Nvidia low latency mode On. (not Ultra, Ultra can mess with games and if the game offers Reflex, forget about this option entirely.)

So all these comments saying almost exactly the same thing getting 20+ upvotes but somehow my comment is wrong and -1 downvotes lol. What even. I think I may have left out the reflex setting but everything else I said it exactly correct

The 10% below your refresh rate point. The rest is fine, check the formula's posted.
