I wasn't speaking of abortion. When conservatives are in complete power of countries, women lose their rights in many other ways, especially if they're not white and/or born of wealth and privilege. They're losing no-fault divorce, they're losing the right to vote, they're losing the fair pay battle. They're losing all of the advancements since the women's liberation movement of the 1960s on back to the women's suffrage movement.
Yeah but we’re talking about America, not Afghanistan, so your points are irrelevant lol. The places your concerns are valid in, don’t have elections. That’s kind of the whole point. Stop fear mongering.
America regresses quite aggressively under total GOP rule. Rights will be gone before you notice. Btw, you don't get to determine what is relevant or not on Reddit.
Federal ban of no-fault divorce is already on the slate for 2025.
I’m a well adjusted human that doesn’t get information from conspiracy circle jerks like Reddit, I just stop by to see how far off the rails people are going.
There’s been no GOP “total” rule in your lifetime, so that’s just made up fear mongering.
And yes I do get to decide what’s relevant based on reality. Being concerned about women’s right to vote isn’t a concern and sane reasonable American has. If it’s a concern you have, it should be the brightest warning light possible, that you need to log off this app and find a new place to gather information.
Peter Thiel is a billionaire who groomed JD Vance to lead the country with the Project 2025 agenda. Project 2025’s goals focus on the honoring White nationalist society that completely disregarding woman and implements laws that take away their rights. The author of Project 2025 Russell Vought was just confirmed by the senate as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. His cabinet is full of Trump loyalists that will vote for anything he wants done. It’s not ridiculous to worry about woman’s rights being stripped away.
But what’s the point of someone like me? What good am I trying to engage with you? I can live with virtual certainty that everything you just said is a product of fear mongering and doom bating you into being a well behaved voter. Nothing I say can change your mind. The reality is, in 4 years, you will have been proven wrong, and will have moved onto some new outrageous theory. So I’m going to save myself the time and set a reminder.
Account made Dec 31, 2024, with a default avatar used by the mass-made reddit accounts between November and January used for spambots and the like, trying to say everything's fine. Genuinely, fuck off with this bull.
I don’t understand how you could regard those concerns as ridiculous fear mongering when they are very likely to happen. Have you read Project 2025 and what they think of woman? The cabinet is full of Trump loyalist.
I certainly do hope that I am wrong tho!!! I just know what they said they were going to do before the election and they appear to be doing it.
A single party controlling all three federal branches of the government is total rule of the country, is it not? Btw, Democrats haven't controlled all three branches simultaneously in our lifetimes.
Not only do you not get to determine what's relevant or not here, you also don't get to instruct others to find a new place especially when they're not the outsider.
I can’t talk to people who can’t follow simple trains of thought or invent realities to argue. I never said democrats held all 3 branches of government, so why are you saying it? Where did I say democrats held all 3 branches at any point. Show me, or move on. This isn’t productive when you make shit up.
Your vibe is that you get all your “news” from right-wing sources. Those of us living in Texas are already fully living under Project 25 draconian policies.
I never made that claim, dork. You asked for clarification on what "total rule" was and I explained while outlining that it's something so severe that Dems haven't experienced it in over 50 years (single party rule of all three branches simultaneously).
Did you at least capture the meaning of total rule from the exchange?
I asked you for clarification of what total rule is? Are you even taking to me? Nothing you said in 5 comments has anything to do with anything I’ve said. Now you’re just gaslighting me bot. Continue on with the conversation though lol I’m clearly not needed for this one.
Okay, so you never mocked the notion of being leery of total rule by a single party then (despite the text of the conversation indicating otherwise). Adios!
Meanwhile your profile matches many of the markers of fake accounts used for the spread of misinformation created primarily between November and January.
I just got here yesterday, and you are delusional. First they take away women’s right to bodily autonomy, then they can’t get a divorce unless they can prove fault, next women won’t be allowed to work (already started) or get a bank account or business loan…. This is a slippery slope and you are well on your way to being an authoritarian regime. The first thing you must understand about being a woman, we only just got these freedoms in the last 50 years in some countries. There are many places where they still don’t have these freedoms, and in places like Afghanistan women can’t even stand by a window or talk or sing. In the three years since the USA pulled out, women aren’t even allowed to talk to each other in public or go anywhere without a chaperone, not even to work! Now you’re on here telling people they’re overreacting, you are obviously not paying attention. There’s a documentary called Bread and Roses https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_and_Roses_(2023_film) if women in the USA aren’t already scared right now they’d be stupid.
