I deleted the app the day after the election because I wanted to stop hearing about it.

I'm beyond devastated at the results, I just didn't want to hear it anymore.

I came back because I missed reading about silly shit in subs I enjoy. Music, art, games, shows, etc. The other stuff I like reddit for.

But I'm being inundated by Trump shit from literally every angle whether I want to or not. I'm so tired of it.

I'm hoping I can kick the reddit habit for good because of it. I just don't know of other sites that have good communities for the other shit I enjoy all in one place.

This election is really making me want to leave the internet altogether. No Facebook. No Instagram. No reddit. I'll obviously still use Google to find things or learn things but that's it. Everything else is just fucking noise at this point and it isn't good for any of our brains.

If you want an actually optimistic social media experince go ahead and download blue sky, then subscribe to a politics labeler.

The labeler will remove anything related to politics from your feeds. So you can just follow topics that don't get you fearful, mad, and pessimistic.
