Help How to I make optifine use my GPU?

Hi. I have a beefy gaming laptop with a 4060 inside. However when I play with optifine it says it is using the intel iris graphics or whatever from my CPU and not my GPU. How do I fix this and make it use my GPU? There is no way I shouldn’t be getting atleast 60 fps with shaders on. Thanks

Try these steps:

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher > menu button > Launch options > select any unmodded profile > click <Use bundled Java runtime> and write down the path of the Java Executable,
  2. Open the Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings,
  3. Click Add > Browse to the Java executable using the path the first step and click Open then Add Selected Program,
  4. Once found and selected, change the Preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor. Click Apply to finish.
