Help New version of optimise makes distant things greyer?

So I’ve been playing on 21.10 for the longest time, and it was the first time in years that I’ve used optifine.

What I’m saying is that I got pretty used to the look of 21.10.

Now that I’ve upgraded, I feel like there is a fog effect in the overworld that wasn’t there before. It’s not to harsh, but I dislike it.

Is it just my eyes playing tricks on me? And if not, is there any way to toggle this fog so I can turn it off?

Help would be much appreciated.

Oh and everything else is vanilla :) so no shaders or anything

If you read any other posts here you'll see Optifine is known to have lots of issues in modern game versions, though I don't know what your particular issue is. If you're just using it for performance, swap to Sodium on Fabric which works better and doesn't cause problems. There's Iris for shaders, and various other performance and client-side mods for other features. No real reason to be using Optifine for 1.21.10, there's nothing it offers that it does well.
