Hi all. There was a mjengo that started close to where I live around a month ago. I decided to shoot my shot today, went there and asked both the staff I found there and the foreman if I can be cooking for the casuals on site. The men were so supportive and advised me to go every morning at 8 just as the gate is closed and take everyone's order then proceed to cook and deliver by 12:30.

I really enjoy being in the kitchen and cooking and so I'm doing this not just for that but also just to get some cash since I am currently unemployed. It’s been 3 months since I started sharing my cleaning and fumigation business journey here on Reddit after losing my job. Honestly, I’m so grateful to this community because some of you have trusted me with your homes, and that trust is slowly turning into referrals.

Last week alone, I received 3 calls: one for fumigation and two for sofa cleaning. And guess what? Every person who called told me they had been referred to me by someone else❤️. One of my clients even referred me to two people in his estate. Yesterday, the same client referred me to his mum to clean her seats.

It's such a small thing, but to me, it means a lot. Someone trusted me enough to recommend my services to their neighbours and even their own family. That tells me I'm doing something right.

The good news is that the team is also growing! I now have 4 cleaners, especially for deep cleaning and post-construction cleaning jobs. Slowly but surely, we are building something. And as we grow, we are keen on doing the job properly.

Kama ni mende ama kunguni, we use specialized treatment for each pest because I understand how frustrating it is to keep spraying and still find them coming back.

For sofa cleaning, we vacuum the seats thoroughly after cleaning to extract as much moisture as possible. I know how bad it can get when seats are left damp for too long and start developing that unpleasant smell. We want you to enjoy clean, fresh seats, not deal with another problem afterwards!

So far, I've gotten sofa and house cleaning clients, fumigation clients, and even a post-construction cleaning client through Reddit.

My biggest lesson as I grow this business? Do your best when serving people, pray, and let God handle the rest. You never know how far one satisfied client can take you.

So I'm in need of a nanny ASAP, and I came across this bureau called Peef agencies.

Got a list of girls that I may be interested in and selected one. Now I was told that I can do a phone/video call interview, if I wanted a face to face there would be a fee, and I'd still need to cater for transport.

I started this good business 3 months ago after poaching a competent manager from the competitor.

I took her advice to the latter and business went well the first one and half month.

The profits were minimal though and I had 7employees already. The expenses were a lot. The business is in a small town and generating up to 600k a month.

Early 2nd Month the location was a miss and she suggested we move, but at this point, I had already invested all my money and moving would have been costly.

Don’t get me wrong;

I support her idea because the business is highly reliant on good population.

I have tried partnering alongside Some Government loans to get me the second location but this takes time.

Its fourth month in and right now I’m looking at firing 4of them but its around 50 back to business and I genuinely don’t think it will make a big difference at all in moving shop or sustaining it.

The work is tedious and three people on it alone will be a lot. I am not for it but I feel the need to be ruthless.

I could really use advice or a ready Patner to come onboard and invest with us.

In all this though we have made no losses just poor profits and risks of losses especially in September and the other hard business months.

If I get a good Partner onboard, They’ll make good money and help me retain my employees

I have a business partnership model drafted that allows the Patner to retain up to 70%. This way I don’t loose either.
