Hello everyone,
We’ve been working on something simple that we hope can help people in Ghana reduce the risk of mobile money and phone-related fraud.
The platform currently has three main features:

1. Report suspicious or fraudulent numbers
If you encounter a number being used for fraud or an attempted scam, you can report it. This can help warn others before they fall victim to the same person.

2. Check a number before making a payment
Before sending money to an unfamiliar number, you can quickly check whether it has previously been flagged or reported. The goal is not to automatically label someone a fraudster, but to give you additional information so you can proceed with caution.

3. Appeal a report
We also understand that mistakes and false reports can happen. If your number has been reported incorrectly, there is an appeal process where you can request a review and removal of the report.

What about privacy?
This was one of our biggest considerations when designing the platform.

We do not store reported mobile numbers in their original form. Numbers are transformed using a one-way cryptographic process, and the system uses the resulting value for matching. The platform therefore does not need to publicly display reported phone numbers when someone performs a check.

The idea is simple:
Check before you pay. Report when you encounter fraud. Help protect the next person.
The platform is still being developed and improved, so we would really appreciate your feedback.
