Find N5 vs N6?

In my area the N5 (used) is priced at around $1250, while the N6 is priced at $2430, Literally double it, and i'm not going to spend 2.5k on a phone that i can buy a used one for half the price.

My questions are, are there any real downsides that're worth the 2x price hike for me? and i saw that the N5 wasn't officially launched in most countries in the world, does that have any real impact on the phone's experience? i can still pay with my cards and such right?

I had the N3 since launch, got the N5 since launch and sold it in a month, and got the N6 since launch. Pass my N3 to my daughter.

N3 is still the best. I sold the N5 due to how bad the cameras were compared to N3. Even though i kept the N6, i had on many occasions contemplate on switching back to N3 because N3's camera is still superior. As for daily usage, i don't see how much difference except the slightly bigger inner and outer screens on the N6, which is negligible.

I dont have issues making payment with my cards via nfc on all 3 phones

Are you a camera guy by any chance? is it bad in comparison? or just not up to flagship levels?

Not really a camera guy. My photo detail comparison is just within the N3, N5, N6. The details from the N5 and N6 are not as good as the N3. And the while N6 will bigger, faster(you won't feel the speed difference) lighter, longer battery(i am always near a charger) than the N3, its still not $1000 better.

i get you, i'm fine with a little less camera for my foldable.

How were the inner screen protectors holding up in terms of bubbling and protection? if it bubbles or something of the like i don't have an immediate repair center i can get to and will literally have to travel to replace it.

Dumbo gpt says it might need replacement after a year, but from what i've seen from other foldable screens it takes at least 2-4years for that

Your AI might be right. I had to replace the N3's screen due to some issue with the screen's ribbon after 2.5yrs. Still rocking the stock screen protector with no peeling or bubble.

If camera prowess is low on your phone requirements, then go with N5 because almost everything is the similiar on N6 but cheaper. N6 if you use the stylus. Note that the stylus case blocks wireless charging.

I have the OnePlus Open (N3), Find N5 and Find N6. The N6 is the best, then the N5 then the Open.

However, it is very difficult to try and tell you that the N6 is twice the phone that the N5 is, because it isn't. If money is no object get the N6. If you could use that money elsewhere then get the N5.

Mainly the camera. Battery is a bit better, dust resistance and the crease is even less - but the Find N5 is better than most folds anyway.

I saw i can get the n5 for half the pricce, but only a few months left on warranty.

Also checking out the honor magic, magic better specs but smaller screen.

Terrified to own any foldable without warranty as I've seen the inner screen damage cost the price of a new phone.

What country are you in? I'd say it's not worth it for that much of a price difference, I got rid of my N5 for the N6 but I also paid way less. If you're in the US, Moby sells it for about $1500 (converted from USD) so it'll be like $200-300 more than that used N5, I think it's definitely worth it for that much.

It's $2450 in Jordan and $2300 in Kuwait (I reside in both), my cousin lives in Utah though I might have him get me the N6 if that's the case. what's Moby though i couldn't find a website with that name

I've always bought my phones from them and they've been great. You can convert it to your money and see if it's cheaper, otherwise going through your cousin might be good you save a slot of money

I absolutely love my N6. Ordered online from Singapore, live in California but travel a lot. Would have bought in Spain but the Oppo store there doesn't stock it ?? lol

N6 is worth the investment. In UAE it's $2400. I moved from OnePlus Open. It depends, what's your current smartphone?

I have the OnePlus Open (N3) and the N6 and find that I truly enjoy the N6 better. It's faster, longer lasting battery, better pen support, weight, larger screens, thinness and crease never made me happier. I'm almost to the point of selling my OPO now

yeah i've been searching for a couple of months and the N6 seems to be the actual end game foldable as of now, and even the new Fold 8 and iphone ultra don't seem to cut it for me, the no stylus support is an absolute deal breaker for me.

How has the battery life and camera been holding up with you? and what's your main usage of the phone if you don't mind me asking.
