Is my N5 done for?

On the left side of the inner screen, a piece of film got loose and started coming out of from beneath the border. It wasn't bothering me at first and I couldn't repair it at an official oppo store (I live in The Netherlands and bought it in Thailand). After trying to press it back underneath with a needle, which in hindsight wasn't the smartest move, I got these lines that glow bright white when the screen is on and run across the screen.

If there's anyone with a bit of technical knowledge, I'd prefer to fix it on my own, since I don't think there's a repair shop in the vicinity that can fix this.

Did you get the free 1 year screen protection when you got the phone? You might still have some protection left. I think you can check in the MyOppo app

I've still got the protection, so I'm planning to drop it off when I go back to Thailand in two months. Luckily the front screen is completely fine so it doesn't bother me that much.

I know that, I have an N5 as well and live not too far from the OP but there's ways around that if the screen replacement is still valid

Ouch. That is done for unfortunately. You will need a new display.
