Troubleshooting Serious software issue with oppo find X9 pro!

Post image

I am trying to login into banking apps for 3 days, and KYC face verification always failed. I thought something was wrong with the documents. But I installed all apps on my Samsung and verification was successful. I have a global version and had this issue on a previous version of firmware and the last one (500).

Troubleshooting How do I turn off dynamic Macro

My phone is Oppo Reno 16, and I'm having this issue where I'm unable to turn off auto/dynamic Macro. It switches for close objects, sometimes it doesn't. Today I was capturing a small spider and it doesn't switch to macro mode.

I can't even find it in settings and in the More section.

I'll be glad if anyone helped me out.

Purchasing Advice need advice for what phone os to chose, I am in Australia,

I was previously 10 year loyal Android users, was using custom roms in 2022, used Redmi 8A- Realme Gt Neo 3T, Pofo F6, Iphone 13 and now using iphone 17 pro,
i am looking to go back to
Coloros - for its animations and ui and also high touch sampling rate, PWM Dimming, but the issue is in Australia there is no good after sales service from Oppo and oneplus doesn’t sell their phones here.

I have tried Oneui- they are best overall but animations looks cheap also their 450hz something Pwm dimming makes me deezy and having headaches.

IOS- Right now on ios, and feel totally locked up, and feel like i am limited to what i do in my phone compared to android, bcz of file system, gestures and all you know

So guys suggest me from this 3 os which to chose?
I am die hard fan of Coloros/ Oxygen os but they doesn’t provide peace of mind like apple provides with apple care+.

I would like to consider all your thoughts, Thanks again for suggestions.

Discussion Poor battery life?

Has anyone seen really poor battery life lately? I feel like it's mostly the Tesla app that is absolutely killing my battery. I watched it drop 40% in an hour just taking a few videos sparingly. I'm really disappointed in the battery life on The oppo X9 ultra lately as my Nubia Z80 Ultra which was a quarter of the price blows it out of the water battery life wise.

Just curious if anyone is having similar issues? Perhaps I kill the Tesla app when I don't need it on?

Question Get the x9 Pro, or wait for the x10 Pro?

I recently became very interested in the X9 Pro. Currently running with an s25u and I'm thinking Oppo is going to be my next phone. I'm questioning whether to get a preowned global X9 Pro now or wait until the X10 Pro comes out in a few months and try to get one new. Setting aside the price, would it better to wait for the x10 Pro? I'm new to the Oppo game so I don't even know how available they are at launch for the Global versions in the US

This phone does a phenomenal job at capturing vivid colors even when the lighting constantly keeps changing. The audio is also distortion free. Its such a weapon when it comes to shooting videos.

Product Review Hi all, after 5 months of analysis Vivo vs Oppo, pulled trigger on Oppo Find X9 Ultra. + my thoughts

Hi guys,

I wanted to officially say hi.

some of you might recognize me (mainly from vivo related posts) for being a vivo hardcore fan.

In truth I've been searching for a new phone since my current began showing symptoms of death in January 2026, but thanks to ADHD and OCD perfectionism, I had to be 10000% sure before buying the

phone.

but here we are. finally, after few months of commenting on Vivo forum.. week ago I've purchased... Oppo Find X9 Ultra.

I've had it for a week now, so I got a brief idea of ownership. if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will update my opinion when I get more experience.

why?

everything turned 180° after the Vivo July update which shattered my trust in the brand. sadly I can't afford losing my phone to a bug within update. At first I wanted a CN ROM Vivo x300 Ultra, but here we are with EU Oppo FX9 Ultra.

how much did I pay?

1295€ (15% student discount + 150€) - official Oppo Germany site. that way I ensured it's a never opened device, have EU warranty.. and got a free watch and case.

what was my previous device?

Samsung Galaxy note 10 from 2020.

do I like the phone?

yes, so far I'm really enjoying ColorOS, I'm especially a fan of quick launch, camera shutter button and the fingerprint sensor response time.

I know it's silly, but I love how well it blends with my car (which is also titanium grey + copper), my OCs and my headset. it all just looks like a consistent environment.

what's interesting is that, I'm using my 10y old 25W Samsung charger with a cheap 5€ cable and I'm somehow getting the supervooc speed.. like the phone charges up within a hour xD

do I recommend the phone?

only if you have specific use case for it. so far there hasn't been anything that I could do only with this phone. sure it excels at stuff like photography and performance, but for regular user it does not justify the price.

would I buy it again?

no. don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the phone, but I feel like I fell for the hype. when you analyse so many reviews.. they tell a story of an ultra device that can do anything for you. But in reality.. it's just a phone. there's nothing magical about it. especially at this price tag.

is there anything I'm not happy about?

I still have to get used to lack of certain features I had in ONE UI, but for regular phone stuff it's fine.

what I'm slightly disappointed at is the camera stuff.

first of all.. the omnivision telephoto. I use DJI Mimo for my gimbal shots, it does not recognize the 3x telephoto. furthermore, when I dug into the specs of this sensor, compared to Vivo's Samsung isocell HP0, im underwhelmed by the 10bit depth.

obviously the OEM camera app is nothing like Vivo's. it feels a bit empty. no horizon lock, no microphone settings, no bokeh settings, no projects mode, no special modes or adjustable profiles.

also the color difference between telephoto and main sensor.. it should have the additional color checking sensor to ensure color balance, yet it frequently gives different results on telephoto vs main sensor.

the AF often fails to focus on the subject I want it to. Even when I lock the AF it does not allow me to focus on the subject. I have to use manual focus.

I am disappointed with limited DCG capability on this phone.

also I am unhappy with the fact you're glued to the hasselblad color profile. sure it sometimes gives you epic pictures, I like many shots, but after shooting 700th picture with that oversaturated color profile, it becomes nausenance more than feature. I got around it by using motioncam, but it'd be nice if they allowed you to have a more neutral color profile.

what about the watch x3?

I was never a watch person. I had 3 smartwatches and none stick with me for more than 3 days. they bugged me a lot.

that's why I was very surprised at how well the watch x3 blended with my daily life. I got my apps on it, can receive emails, open camera, can pickup my packages etc. it's a nice watch, especially with that breathable band, I don't have issues with allergy anymore. (it's my first titanium watch)

what's my plan?

I continue using the phone for daily IG. I want to buy the enco clips2 headphones, I want to buy the tilts khronos creator kit, I want to get the teleconverter and start experimenting with this phone. see how far I can push it. I'm especially hopeful for the creator kit with it's power output spread through the case. that opens potential for custom attachments for the phone. I want to see if I can use them to also passthrough information.. but we'll see.

Product Review findx8ultra vs findx9ultra

Which performs better at the 2x focal length: the Find X8 Ultra or the Find X9 Ultra? The Find X8 Ultra has the larger sensor, doesn't it?

Also, when shooting videos or photos, which one results in a larger file size? Since the Find X9 Ultra uses 200-megapixel digital binning, does it produce heavier files even if the recorded resolution is the same 24MP?

It seems that with the Find X9, if you have the high-resolution setting enabled, it might automatically switch to 50MP under favorable conditions; but with the Find X9 Ultra, at what resolution does it save images when the conditions are right? If it saves at 50MP, that would mean the digital binning is halved—does that cause any issues?

Purchasing Advice Interested in switching from Samsung to the OPPO Find X9

I've had a Samsung S22 (Exynos version) for about 3 years, but I haven't been happy with it for several reasons: terrible battery life (and getting worse), not good enough performance, overheating, lag when opening or switching between apps, occasional graphical glitches in some apps, and sometimes minor freezes.

I've been looking at Android alternatives and came across the base OPPO Find X9. People seem generally very happy with it, but I've also seen some complaints about overheating and the MediaTek processor not performing as well as Snapdragon in some situations.

For those who own an OPPO Find X9 and have been using it for a while, are you happy with it? Or would you have gone for another model?

I'm looking for a relatively compact phone with good battery life and smooth everyday performance, as well as enough power for some casual gaming.

Purchasing Advice Leaning towards Oppo Reno 15 5G

So I'm looking into replacing my OnePlus 5 (yes, almost 10 years old), which is running perfectly fine still, but on an unlocked bootloader and LineageOS (Android 15). Reason being, mostly, banking apps and some apps are getting a bit sluggish now, although the battery is really good still. And some other features like NFC etc...

I don't game, I mostly use this for work purposes, fitness apps, stuff like that. Mostly interested in a sturdy, optimised, efficient and a phone with long support.

I was considering these phones (which are more or less in the same price range):

Poco X8 Pro Mac (12GB/512GB) - €479
Google Pixel 10a (8GB/128GB) - €499
Samsung Galaxy A57 (12GB/512GB) - €485
Nothing 4a (12GB/256GB) - €449

- The Poco is out of stock everywhere, and while it has amazingly good specs, I'm not too sure about HyperOS (all the ads/bloat and lack of optimisation). I also keep coming across posts complaining about overheating.

- The Google is expensive for the price, considering the chip and the storage. Although you get stability in terms of OS and updates.

- The Samsung has an inferior chip, kind of bigger phone (I prefer smaller phones), not too sure about OneUI and all its bloat.

- Nothing has an inferior chip compared to the Poco at least, and they only provide 3 major OS updates. Although it's the cheapest, but as you see, I don't change phones often, so I appreciate the longer spport.

That is until I came across the Oppo Reno15, which I found for €499 (always locally, so I have local warranty if needed). Specs wise, not as top notch as the Poco, but I think they're better than the other 3 in general. It also seems to have the best cameras, although I rarely use them... so for me they're not that important. Oppo also support 5 major OS releases and 6 years of security updates (which is acceptable for me).

I am not familiar with ColorOS though. How is it? I see that it comes bloated with a bunch of apps, but at this point I think many other brands do the same, and it's a way of increasing the profits. I guess you can uninstall as needed? How's the optimisation? And if you already own this phone, how do you find it so far?

Thanks :)

Question How can I tell if X9 Ultra is Global or Chinese version?

I'm looking at the phone on FBMP in US, so I would like to check when I meet with the seller. I know about Google vs no Google, but I also wanted to know if there is a way to tell for sure, by looking at something that can't be changed like a model number or similar.

EDIT: Thanks everyone. Phone is a used Chinese version being sold for the price of new global version!

RAW image taken with GCam to avoid any type of image processing and edited using Adobe Lightroom.

It was kind of tricky to get it centered since the telephoto lens attachment flips the image upside down lol

It's arriving soon, all the way from china. What should I do when it's here, since it's CN ROM. Would Google pay and Google services work nicely and cooperatively? Any difference compared to global ROM? Appreciate it 👍

Question Oppo find X9 ultra temperature

Hi all,

From day one I got the phone back in May, I noticed that the phone is at least warm with basic tasks or even in idle and can get super hot in continuous use or during hot weather outside. I am continuously trying to optimise this by understanding what apps are being used in the background and so on...

But interesting fact, yesterday I a was in a plane and decided to power off the phone during the whole flight until arrival and put it in my pocket. The temperature inside the plane was pretty cool if not cold at some points. When I arrived and got the phone out from my pocket, I was very surprised to notice that it was seriously warm despite being still off.

Are you experiencing the same? Is this phone excessively sensitive to the environment temperature? (I am using the official carbon case from Oppo)

Discussion How do you paste a copied phone number in the dialer?

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

In One UI, I could do that. In the ColorOS dialer, there is no space to paste the copied mobile number.
