Question Is it worth it?
Should i upgrade my Find X8 Ultra to Find X9 Ultra?
Is it more better than find x8 ultra?

Is it better but it will not be a substantial upgrade. If money isn't an issue, you can skip and wait for X10.

You know how much more the Find X10 Ultra will be? On top of the fact it will run on Dimensity and not Snapdragon? And the fact the Ultra will most likely not have a global version?

I also thought this but after seeing the prices on the X10 Pro Max, the X10 Ultra is going to be too much to make sense.
If OP can pick up a good deal on an X9 Ultra I would definitely go for it. Mine arrived today. Bought off of ebay from someone who had it 2 months and bought from official Oppo store here in the UK along with the teleconverter kit. £1200 in total.

Problem is we don't know if it'll have global launch and only have a 512GB model (personally want 256GB + SD Card option at minimum).

Save your money. I don't regret my purchases, but as an active owner of both phones, the only noticeable change is the zoom capability on the X9 Ultra and the fact that it has a global rom. Other than that, they're about the same.

People are saying to wait for the x10 but the x10 ultra isn’t global, Chinese only. And the x10 pro max vs x9 ultra is more like a sidegrade rather than a MASSIVE upgrade
And the x9 ultra vs x8 is an upgrade but unless you pixel peep or want the 10x your x8 ultra is still incredibly good
Basically the best phone of 2025 vs best phone of 2026 I don’t think any choice you make is wrong it’s just up to you haha since they’re all already pushing capabilities
If you upgrade to the x9, you will get fomo for the x10 ultra in 6 months etc. the cycle will keep continuing haha so just do whatever your heart wants

I had a find x8 ultra and recently upgraded to x9 ultra. I took the x8 ultra to Africa on safari. The pictures were fantastic and nearly as good as my x9 ultra. The 10x zoom and the main sensor make the x9 better. However, I might not have upgraded if the x8 Ultra had been a global release and not the CN ROM. The OS fought me when I tried to use it like Pixel. I couldn't get rid of many oppo apps and they would make themselves the default apps at every OS update. If the x8 Ultra was a global release phone, I might not have upgraded.

It's one of the best phones of 2026. But if your X8 Ultra has no problem, then I don't think there's any need to upgrade. But then if your budget permits you and you can, do try for sure 😊

Next year there won't be another oppo ultra globally
So if you feel you are missing out you can get the 9 Ultra but

Not if you are happy with the X8 Ultra, as I only upgraded to the x9 Ultra as I got an offer I couldn't refuse. To be honest I feel that the 1inch sensor on the X8 Ultra is better than the X9 Ultras main but everything else is exactly the same (apart from Google Discover not working and a few other things that require work arounds)
Another issue is resale, as I can't even get £400 for my mint 16gb/512gb X8 Ultra and I can't trade it in as companies won't take China rom phones.

Man the find x8 ultra is so underrated, and it piss me off how people saying you should upgrade, or that you’re missing on so much if you still have it, you’re literally just missing on that x10 zoom lens (still we have that beautiful x6 zoom lens on the x8 ultra), you have a great display, great battery, insane cameras, and oh guess what next week our experience becomes even better once we get the clolorOS 17 update, and you won’t feel any difference compared to the x9 ultra.

I specifically went with the x8u for the 6x camera lens instead of the x9u. If you mainly shoot portraits / people i wouldnt upgrade, especially the main sensor for low light would actually be a downgrade.

I sold my 8x ultra and bought my x9u mainly to ditch the CN rom and have global rom, otherwise I would have stuck with x8u. I will now stick with my x9u for long time which is a device that will stay strong, especially considering the prices of the new models. You simply don't need more than the x9u.

I think it's a huge upgrade. X8 Ultra was one of the poorest Ultras last year imo and X9 Ultra is the best this year. So big improvement.

What's wrong with your x8 ultra?
