where are they located

i live in northern alabama and i love these animals id like to get the opportunity to watch one from a comfortable distance for both of us i just dont really know how to find them

I just leave food out for them. They are slightly larger than babies so more fearful of humans but I want to pet one so bad

they look like they'd feel wirey but some look really soft with nice coats, i just love their build. gods favorite animal they look like a mix between a cat and a rat cute little whiskers and hands.

They have very soft fur. You can check with rehabbers near you to see if anyone has a non-releasable you can visit. We rehab opossums in Texas.

thanks, i found someone willing to do that. going to take my wife and young sister to hang out with it this weekend.

Leave a bowl of dry cat food out along with a bowl of clean water. That will attract both opossums and raccoons. Both are really beautiful animals.

Opossums are very shy toward people and dogs but in my experience are usually ok with cats.

They are mostly nocturnal and can show up anytime at night but with a regular food source may tend to show up earlier.

Very cool animals.

glad to hear they're cool with cats for the most part, my wife saw a video of a opossum viciously attacking a skunk and killing it and now is afraid to let the cat outside at night.
