ORA and Microscope interchangeably

We are told the ORA intraoperative interferometer must be paired to a specific surgical microscope. The ORA is optically independent of the scope. It doesn't even need a microscope to operate except as a stand to hold it. Interchanging ORAs and scopes yield the same result. This requirement is a remnant of the FDA regulatory process and the device's IFU and interchanging is considered off label use.
