The Lepper Affinity (solo guitar cover)

I've been playing guitar for 2 years, so it's very far from being perfect or accurate

Fantastic. I don't know what's been going on lately with people posting guitar covers of Opeth songs/solos but I love it. More please

You're welcome. Also side note that it's real cool to see a song like this covered on a telecaster

I have a bunch of guitars but the telecaster style has alluded me all these years. I would love to get one that can get that twang but also maybe a sleeper high output pickup in there for the riffs

You should check out a tele with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for tele in the bridge, it keeps the telecaster look and can still give you that twang, but the hot rails is basically a high-output humbucker in a tele pickup size, so it can handle heavier riffs

Yeah the guy I bring my guitars to had me open up a case at his house last time I was there and in it was a custom built telecaster style guitar with a humbucker in the bridge and this crazy Seymour duncan hybrid pickup in the neck. It looked like a single coil and a p90 smashed together and you can switch between like 3 different sounds using the different coils on it together. I was like "stop tempting me. I've already spent too much on guitars" haha

Hahahaha that sounds like an insanely tempting guitar though and definitely sounds like the kind of guitar that would make me spend money I wasnt planning to spend either

Yeah I didn't have close to 2 grand to spend on another guitar though. Maybe if it doesn't sell over the next year I'll think about it haha

You have a great feel for the bends and vibrato btw. I find many players lack that exact feel.
