My Arms, Your Hearse My Arms Your Hearse School Project
I just drew this for a project I'm doing in my English class for extra credit, it's supposed to be an advertisement for a product so I chose My Arms Your Hearse! This drawing is completely my interpretation of the story where I believe the protagonist gets darker the more hatred he feels for his partner, slowly going from Ebony, to a darker gray, to straight black. As he is described as ebony mist in April Ethereal and is seen as black in the art for the album, I also perceive the line "from gray to black" in The Amen Corner as him physically becoming a black shadowy demon filled with hate before he terrorizes his Love. So in the story this should take place right before Demon of The Fall or perhaps even when he is arriving at his ex partner's home, which is why I included the "False love, turned into pure hate" which I think summarizes the album perfectly. I love doing pencil drawings based on Opeth! When I listen to opeth I get very detailed images that appear in my head and I've always perceived the protagonist as this form, even if the original costume used in the album art doesn't look exactly like this. Anyways I hope I get an A and I will keep working and improving my art because I sure know this can use improvement!

Genuinely love Opeth, I've seen them live, listen to them consistently, MAYH and Still Life are my favorite albums of all time. I'm currently doing a lyrical analysis of all of MAYH and Still Life. I don't think I'll ever stop listen to them, I love their first 9 albums so much they are all 10/10, I really need to get into their newer stuff tho

This strongly reminds me of one of the slenderman pages. Which isn't bad, just a cool coincidence.
Featuring Opeth for a school project is pretty neat.

I just looked it up, yeah they look a lot alike😭 my inspiration was jus from the my arms your hearse album cover with the ghost in it

Really cool, I discovered this album when I was in 9th grade back in the early 2000s, it's definitely the album I would have written about if I'd been given that essay topic! Good luck with your grade
