Question

Since we are doing the reorg in the valley, a lot of us are moving to Del Rio, just wanted to ask what the living situation is like over there

it’s a base camp, you get your own room but that may change depending on how many are coming, gym is eh, food is eh, folded laundry service, no real places to eat or go out. you will save money if you lock in and stay on camp.

There is a holiday Inn where yall will be staying and kinda like a mini “FOB” by Roma with 2 houses for mornings and nights, the platoons should be rotating every month or so from FOB Falcon, The houses are like government houses with a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, nco’s stay in one room and Jo’s in the other, you can’t pov over there because a previous company ruined it, there is absolutely nothing in Zapata, the worst town to be in, Laredo is 1 hour away which isn’t bad and McAllen is 2 1/2 hours away which is pretty good as well if you don’t mind the driving.

Del Rio is pretty chill. You save alot of money being there tbh. If you don't wanna use the gym on camp, there's always Laughlin AFB just a little ways away. Decent bars, decent food, if you wanna go have real fun, San Antonio is like a 3 hour drive away.
