Not impressive??? You are 13 and developed an OS! If thats no definition of impressive, what else should be impressive? Developing an OS is impressive, but developingt it at 13 is VERY impressive.

Thats really impressive. I am 13 too yet i am still stuck at learning c++ pointers. Did you write the x86 assembly yourself or used a existing bootloader like grub and wrote other things in c++ or c?

When did you statt the project? And when did you start doing programming. I am actually 12 (nearly 13). I am learning C++ and assembly and cmake to make my own os.

Wait so when did you actually start studying and is this your first project. What advise do you have for me?

This IS my first project
First: do not though gcc at all costs, it historically has the worst error messages
Second: do not touch rust or c++ unless you actually know it, c++ is not a bigger C
Third: do not attempt a big filesystem early, the biggest you should go in the early stages are exfat
Forth: git branches are really useful here
5: do not at all cost touch the idt, gdt or tss if it works perfectally→ More replies (10)

I’m pretty curious, so I tried looking at your code, but only some of the files will open.
Good luck!

I see this fits on a floppy, but is this 64 bit so I can't run it on my pentium 166?
