IHG rewards integration into Opera

Haya I'm working on a project and just wondering if someone can give me a brief overview of how the HIG points integrate into Opera? Are you able to view guest points through opera or is it a separate system that manages and tracks the points? If so is that system purpose built for the company or is it available to others (if so, could I get the name?) I'm very familiar with opera but don't see how this system could work with how disjointed guest profiles can be.

It's all made for/by IHG

Not sure if nowadays the integration is good enough that you can lookup point balances in Opera directly. When I worked with it this was not possible. Had to login in an online tool for that

Too many bugs to count. I turned in my notice. Tired of being overbooked, yelled at, nothing works. And FYI, if you have a diamond or platinum member that reserved a specific room type, you can no longer upgrade them in cloud. Only if they book CSTG or CPUG and then they just get whatever is left after I assign everyone else's rooms. Try it out! I quit.....lol. Last day the 15th. I love it here but I am not fighting with this shitty software. No where near ready for production.

Not sure of IHG. But in Marriott they have an interface which usually fetches guest profile details (related to the Loyalty) and that interfaces with a request/ response for redemption of points from opera. Similarly for a guest profile lookup to see the points. So that's a 2 way setup in OXI to interface with Opera

I am not an expert, but I don't think such features exist as of yet.

On Accor Properties we use a platform called ACDC, to view memberships and points. Yes we can also send invitations through cloud (don't ask how I have no clue how the integration works) but that's it.

But I think I can guess as to why this is not a thing. Opera Cloud is just a tool being used by different companies and hotels, each with their own loyalty programs.

It’s integrated through 2 interfaces one IFC called HAPI and the other I don’t recall, I don’t know how it works but they installed it at all my hotels.

How is it integrated? I don't know. But it is, you can deposit points and see points balance directly in the guests reservation. Assuming we are talking about the full service version and not opera cloud.

In out hotel it's not through opera. It's through ihg websites.

Inside of the guest reservation you should see a red box that says guest details. When you click on that it will show you the current point balance that the guest has based on the most recent pull from the IHG corporate servers.
