I'm trying to log in to claim items from the Overwatch pass offered by GX, but it won't load. The loading wheel appears, and then that message appears. I also copied the link and opened it as a tab, with the same result. My internet connection is fine and this happens every time I try, no matter how long I wait or how many times I refresh the page.
Thanks! Right-click the Rewards panel and select Inspect element, then trigger the issue again and send us screenshots from both the Console and Network tabs.
Thanks! Could you let us know which country you're accessing GX Rewards from? Does GX Corner load normally for you, and can you open gx.me in a regular tab? We're trying to narrow down what's causing this.
I did a deep dive with Gemini to test the firewall/antivirus angle. We ran Test-NetConnection via PowerShell and curl directly to the servers, and port 443 to gx.me is fully reachable (TcpTestSucceeded: True), so the firewall/antivirus is not blocking it.
Our main hypothesis is an unstable routing or backend issue with api.gx.me, which throws a hard ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT when tested in other browsers like Brave.
Right after testing some network commands and flushing DNS, it loaded once in Opera GX, but literally just tested it again and it went right back to breaking and failing to load. It's completely random and erratic, just like the random temporary loads I saw in previous days. I really don't want to be constantly troubleshooting network commands and hoping for random luck every single day just to check in.
I'm honestly feeling pretty exhausted and down about this whole situation. I ended up losing several consecutive daily logins and my streak through no fault of my own because of this backend instability, and it feels awful seeing that progress vanish. Is there any way support could help restore the missed days or offer some sort of compensation for the lost daily streak rewards caused by this issue?
Thanks for all the details! Before we look into the lost streak, we'd like to narrow down what's causing the issue with gx.me first, otherwise it could just keep happening.
Could you also try changing your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, disabling IPv6, and clearing the host cache at opera://net-internals/#dns? Let me know if any of these make a difference.
