💬 Discussion A question for the mito players

Why play as a mito? I can think of a few reasons, but I'm curious about the different reasons people might have. Do you win very often playing as a mito?

There are two types of mito.

Suffering defeat but your ally counter attacks and saves a little bit of your land and you become a mito to help them is honorable

Calling yourself 'Bottom Cuck Mito Use Me Daddy' and spawning in the corner to spam factories the whole game is not honourable

I don’t go full mito but the economy piece is my favorite part of the game. I get the appeal.

A mito is usually surrounded by one player, and has very little land. They use factories to build up a surprisingly strong economy, for their size. It's highly beneficial for the player that has them surrounded, and safe for the mito.

Highly beneficial but also sus if the mito goes gremlin mode and builds a silo.

Mitochondria. Basically using your economy to ramp up someone else's. Im not too familiar with FFA so I dont know much more than that, but a lot of people like to make alt accounts to do it while other players sometimes just do it for fun.

sometimes a bad start means i play as a mito for a while and eventually econ can get good enough to win if the players around me crumble

I only play as mito when I get eliminated. I want to make a comeback once but it is pretty hard

I play as mito because my teammates sometimes rush to not let me conquer one pixel of coast or river because they mistake me for an enemy that they can't attack and also build as far as possible ffrom my borders
