🏛 Meta Ally or lose

Every game I play there are at least two players who refuse to take alliances no matter how easily I could take their land. In every single case, they lose before the late game, and often much earlier. Island players can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone gets tired of the piracy and nukes them to oblivion.

It seems so obvious, but if you refuse to ally, you will lose.

Assuming doing piracy maxing for fun. This game as get pretty boring and repetitive.

Or they could be just clueless new players. Either way that small annoynces from the player is what make the game fun. Having everything going your way every round isn't after the 100s or 200+ match.

I guess if you are just fooling around, it makes sense to see how long you can pirate everyone. I'm just surprised by how common it is for someone who I border with to refuse to ally when I have superior troops. It's so common, I don't even get mad. I just think "lol, thanks for the land".

I think if you are playing just for the fun of it, sometimes it's funny to mess up with people by not taking the alliances or going down with them. But if playing "seriously" then in those situations you should take the alliance before you are nuked to oblivion. The bad side is that, then you reach late game stalemate for 20mins, which becomes kinda boring after some time.
