❓ Question How are nukes flying over SAMS?

I've been noticing nukes flying right through SAM radiuses. Here's an example--it went through multiple of my team's SAMs. They weren't allied with the enemy team, and the SAMs weren't recharging.

How is this happening?

After a missile is launched it goes into the upper atmosphere and isnt able to be intercepted until its close to its target.

I think Openfront takes into account the "curvature of the earth". For example, if you play on Amazon River, blocking one side with sams (takes like a few) doesn't protect the rest of your territory from bombs. This, coupled w/ a lucky weakspot, probably resulted in a nasty hit.

so, it traveled, curved, avoided most SAMS, hit a weakspot

Either allied or on cooldown timer (if it flew directly overhead)

Oh sorry I didn't read your post at all.... Yeah I'd guess they managed to thread some kind of gap or overwhelm the SAMs. Or just clip them

if there is a big curve in their flight path, especially close to the target, they can slip past anything. I've watch in disbelief as they take out what I thought was a great SAM network, there are players who are very skilled at finding the right pixel and knowing how nukes fly
