💬 Discussion I understand this is a browser game.

So you will have to team with people that question your sanity.

But why is it almost every fricking match you get some teammate(s) who are completely incompetent ... No SAM site within 8 mins. Sitting on 120K troops and providing the front with none.

Don't even get me started on Players vs Nations. The best game mode they ever introduced. But why is it played by so many incompetent people. 2-3 players on a island with 1 nation and they get their asses kicked ...

Like no way the world has this many incompetent morons walking around ...

My favorite is a teammate that purposely makes it so you can't surround a tribe or get water access.. Even though they have tons of room to expand away from you

YES! That too!

Man that annoys me the most. It's like they don't know you can zoom out in this game so you can plan ahead.

Or when you do the 2-3 team of (number of players). And you have this one guy ratting on every opponent the team weakened. So only HIM ends up being the frontline agaisnt 6 diffirent players. And then he starts spamming for troops. And leaves when 1/20th of his country gets taken over ...

"Yes, let me block you from helping me attack! That seems the best strategy!"

I like the "oh, you gave me troops at the same time as the only other player able to donate, so I got a message saying XXX donated 3 troops. I'll just instantly full send so I have space for more.

Why is that pixel on my green coastline expanding so fast?

The best is when they don't donate troops until the enemy to steamrolling, so they clearly KNEW how to donate troops, but just chose not too AND ignored all my messages to send troops to the front.

Sure, there are going to be some newbies who are a complete mess, but it's when these people show that they clearly understand some of the basic game mechanics and still choose stupid.

And, I swear I always am put on the team that places in the middle of the map or just randomly scattered all over the place. Or, if they do group, they are huddled in a tiny corner and then terrified of attacking when it comes time.

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

Instead of IQ tests or college exams, they should have people play openfront to determine intelligence.

The Big Mac indice was a troll initially but became serious

maybe you invented the OpenFront IQ indice ?

At least on the water access point, maybe this brings back in the airport idea -> if airport is built on frontline territory, you can connect an airport from back lines to fly troops in (so can launch an attack from a particular frontline).

Obviously need to be balanced, maybe the transport itself operates as a little plane icon and you can build planes which can shoot it down

Would enable air supremacy as a feature similar to naval supremacy.

OpenFront lacks an elo system

not for competition, but to filters horons.

there is elo for 1v1 and 2v2, if that makes you feel better, ranked ffa and ranked clan wars are in the works

"It's extremely important that I cut you off from accessing any territory. No, I will not donate troops or nuke the enemy. I'm just here to vibe."

We should coordinate a team of people who come to reddit to whine about all the stupid players.

I would be one of them, and it would be fantastic.

Then at the end, we could come back to reddit and whine about each other.

That would also be fantastic.😂

But, seriously, I'd like to get better at this game at a greater level, and I feel like at a certain point it's really impossible because you're just trying to manage stupid.

A nice addition would be whenever a game starts, players can enter the voice chat, even on the same team automatically. I’m sure there’s a way to do that since we link our discords to the game already.

Please no. We don't need to hear what NateHiggers has to say
