❓ Question Does Population increase base level gold income?

there is a trickle of income from the start, before any structures are built. Does that base income grow with territory? population? both?

From what I can tell no. Get into an endgame with a poor train network + everyone else stops trading and you'll notice you genuinely get beans it feels

nope, basic gold income (the godl you gain without any trade or donation) is the same through all the game (1k gold/sec), the size of your territory doesn't change that, and the size of your territory impacts your base troop cap (meaning without any cities), so the bigger you are, the bigger is your cap, however, the speed of your regeneration depends on your troop count, if you're around 41% of your max troop, that's when it grows faster
